This Privacy Policy explains how CNG Connect ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and safeguards your information when you use our mobile application and related services (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information you provide
- Account details — such as your name, email address or mobile number when you sign in (via Google, Apple, or mobile number).
- Profile information — an optional display name and photo.
- Community contributions — station status reports, new stations you add, ratings and reviews.
Information collected automatically
- Location data — your approximate or precise location to show nearby stations and provide directions (see Section 3).
- Usage data — basic, non-identifying information about how the App is used to help us fix bugs and improve features.
- Device information — device type and operating system version for compatibility and support.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To show CNG stations near you and along your route.
- To provide directions and navigation.
- To display and verify community-reported station availability.
- To maintain your saved stations, history, points and achievements.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
- To respond to your support requests.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not show third-party advertising in the App.
3. Location Data
CNG Connect uses your device location to find nearby CNG stations and to provide navigation. Location access is requested only with your permission, and you can grant or revoke it at any time in your device settings. If you deny location access, you can still search for stations manually, but some features may be limited.
4. How We Share Information
We share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Community content — station reports, ratings and stations you add are shared with other users as part of the service (this does not include your contact details).
- Service providers — trusted vendors who help us operate the App (for example, hosting and map/tile providers), bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Legal reasons — where required by law, regulation, or valid legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of users.
Maps and tiles are provided using OpenStreetMap data; requests to load map tiles are subject to the tile provider's own privacy terms.
5. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time — see Delete my data.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights & Choices
- Access, update or correct your profile information in the App.
- Revoke location permission at any time in device settings.
- Request a copy or deletion of your personal data (see Delete my data).
8. Children's Privacy
CNG Connect is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us so we can remove it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, through in-app notice.
